After updating the program, why am I still unable to connect to the main network?
There are no known node addresses (bootnodes);
it defaults to trying to connect to a "None" address;
therefore, bootstrapping and the handshake cannot be completed.

Yeah, I’m seeing these too in my situation described in the “Still —fakenet flag?” topic from earlier. I haven’t seen any updates to the instructions more recently than five hours ago.

for the upcoming update to our github, that flag will be removed and these problems will go away.
