Nockchain Roadmap: Full verification from latest proof only

The Nockchain technical roadmap lays out the upcoming features to be introduced to the chain.

I cannot find the milestone in the roadmap where the full chain state AND the small part relevant to my own wallets and balances will be trustlessly verifiable only from the latest proof.

Apart from using the Nock combinator calculus,

  • the possibility to verify the state of the chain without downloading the full transaction history and
  • ZK-enabled light clients for wallets etc.

are what got me interested in the project in the first place.

So I would really appreciate any help that can point me to where in the roadmap such features will be implemented. I’m guessing “ZKP verification onchain” but I’m not sure.

The short answer is that the doc you screenshotted isn’t a full roadmap anyway, it’s a collection that I gleaned from various sources and put together. (It’s a real roadmap in that we intend these things, but it’s not comprehensive.)

I know the trimmed/pruned state has been talked about and is planned but I don’t think there’s a specific timeframe in place this early.
