Retrofitting Transaction Privacy

What is the possibility that Zorp retrofits transaction privacy onto the chain?

As I understand it, Nockchain’s zkPOW architecture enables validator privacy which is great. But a lot of the prevailing narratives about Nockchain make it out to be a privacy chain, which it can’t be without transaction privacy.

I realize that this might require a hard fork for full privacy but Zorp could go the soft fork route by adding shielded transfers. Similar to how Zcash added “Sapling” shielded pools over time. Thoughts?

We are interested in adding a shielded pool at some point, but it’s not on the core protocol roadmap.
