Does anyone know how Nockchain handles dust?
It’s my understanding that UTXO blockchain require a minimum balance associated with a UTXO. There is also a fee to transfer UTXO’s.
Does anyone know any good resources to learn more about this?
If someone sends your wallet a UTXO with 1 Nock, can you spend it?
Does combining UTXO’s into a larger UTXO intra-wallet cost any fee?
To send $NOCKs requires a transaction fee, just like in Bitcoin. Right now UTXOs are on a time lock so nothing can be spent/sent, but once those time locks expire people will be able to send transactions and a fee market will develop.
When does the time lock expire? Can you link me to where this is defined in the repo?
unfortunately I don’t remember. It is in there though, perhaps one month or three months.
It’s one block month, defined in on line 64 of /hoon/common/tx-engine.hoon.
